Monthly Archives: September 2013

When do we forward you mail? You have 3 choices.

How often is Mail Forwarded?

If you sign up for a Mail Forwarding service, we can forward your mail:

• As and when it comes in
• At the end of the week
• At the end of the month

Why would you opt for the latter two options? Because we’ll group your mail together and send it out as one package, meaning a smaller charge on your postage deposit. This makes particularly large savings if your address is outside of the UK.

To change how often we forward your mail:

• Select “My Services”
• Click on your Account Number
• Under “Preferences” select “Change”
• Tick the relevant circle under “Mail Forwarding Options”
• Select “Save”

What’s the difference between a Mailing Address and a Registered Office Address?

The Mailing Address and the Registered Office

Our Mail Box Pro package includes two different address services:

• Mailing Address
• Registered Office Address

With the Mailing Address service we will forward, or hold for collection, any regular mail that arrives at our office.

If you have the Mailing Address service on its own (our Just Scan, Mail Box Basic or Mail Box Plus packages) you are not able to use our address as your Registered Office (only relevant to Limited companies). Because of this we will not forward any official mail, such as Companies House or HMRC mail, on to you as it should not be getting sent to us. Continue reading

Collecting mail from us? Don’t forget your ID.

Collecting your mail?

If you choose to collect mail directly from our office, don’t forget to bring photo ID with you. We accept:

• Passports
• Driving Licenses
• ID cards

It’s also handy, but not compulsory, if you can bring along a print-out of the email that states you have mail (or a smartphone/tablet displaying this).

Please get in touch via the comments function below if you have any questions.

Working from home? Is your company giving the impression you want?

According to a recent article in/on The Telegraph, one in six people in the United Kingdom operate an online business from home. That’s quite a figure.

This got us thinking:

Are these businesses happy for customers to know that they’re home based?E

There are some businesses where being home based is actually a selling point. Homemade is, after all, a positive term. On the flip side, there are some industries where being home based could be detrimental to business.

For businesses that fall into the latter category, there are options available. This includes our own Mail Forwarding Services.

How it works

If you sign up we will allow you to use our address as your contact address (see Mail Box Pro if you’re also interested in a Limited Company Registered Office). We’ll then forward any mail that we receive onto you.

Two benefits:

• Gives the impression that you are a London based operation
• Protects your address (no one wants unexpected visitors)
